After all the media hypes and interviews, I decided to watch "Mirugam", which is directed by Samy. His earlier movie "Uyir", in which sangeetha did the main role, and our hero srikanth did a side role ;-) was somehow watchable.
Mirugam is a movie which we really don't need. This movie does not deliver anything other than uncomfortable feeling throughout the film. The story period is about 20 years back, and is all about a person who did all wrong things in his life, gets a killer disease (AIDS), dies at the end. The point here is why we are watching? why i need to know about this person? Performances by people is not bad, but that cannot be a excuse to watch this movie.
This movie is not at all fit to watch with family. I am really surprised that, director samy managed to get a producer for this storyline. God save him. I think, samy is out of "sarakku", and he has two options, either close the shop, or run the shop with something to sell.
Take tablets for headache and body ache which you get during and after the movie.
Verdict: Mirugam - "Kitte pogadhe kadikkum"
